About Dannie

Hello! I’m Dannie, a wee Scottish lass originally hailing from the Highlands and now living in the sunny seaside town of Newquay in Cornwall.

My art is inspired by the natural world – from animals to people, and from the ocean to the moon – with a little bit of magic and fantasy thrown in for good measure. I love to experiment with all sorts of materials, but the majority of my work comes from a combination of watercolour, oil pastel, posca pens and fineliners.

When I’m not painting I spend as much time as possible outdoors, whether that’s surfing in the ocean, hiking coastal trails or sunbathing on the beach. Protecting our beautiful environment is incredibly important to me, and I try to make my art process as sustainable as possible from start to finish. This includes using recycled equipment to create my originals, and working with a local company to create my prints to order on an environmentally-friendly paper option. 15% of all profits from my art sales also go to charities supporting the environment, animals, or fellow human beings.
